Karnataka is a state in southwest India with Arabian Sea coastlines. The capital, Bengaluru (formerly Bangalore), is a high-tech hub known for its shopping and nightlife. To the southwest, Mysore is home to lavish temples including Mysore Palace, former seat of the region’s maharajas. Hampi, once the medieval Vijayanagara empire’s capital, contains ruins of Hindu temples, elephant stables and a stone chariot.

Bangalore is known as the Silicon Valley of India because of its position as the nation’s leading IT exporter. Another of its nicknames is “The Garden City”. That’s thanks to many local parks, along with pink cassias, golden acacias, and jacarandas which bloom throughout the city.

Morning check out and proceed to Mysore. Mysore is the erstwhile capital of Wodeyars, the rulers of Mysore state. The Wodeyar family ruled Mysore since 14th century except for a short period of 40 years when Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan were the rulers. Mysore has never failed to mesmerise the tourists with its quaint charm, rich heritage, magnificent palaces, beautifully laid-out gardens, imposing buildings, broad shady avenues and sacred temples. The charm leaves no one untouched.

After breakfast Proceed to sightseeing. Mysore traces its history into the mythological books where there is reference of Mahishasur (Mahishasura) or the buffalo-headed demon king who is believed to have lived here. Goddess Chamundeshwari of Chamundi hills killed this demon and hence the Dussehra, the festival of the victory of good over evil, is celebrated with unprecedented grandeur.
Places to Visit: Maharaja’s Palace, Chamundi Hill, Big Bull, St.Philomena’s Church, Jagan Mohan Palace (Art Gallery) and Zoo.
After breakfast, proceed to coorg. Coorg is situated 2000 – 3500 ft above sea level and enjoys pleasant weather throughout the year. The region received moderate rainfall all through the year and therefore visited even during monsoon. The region is known for its unique cuisine, culture and its plantation resorts and homestays. Madikeri (3500 ft) is a hill station and the main town here. Siddhapura (2300 ft) is a plantation town.
Places to Visit: Tibetian Golden Temple, Nisarga Dhama. On arrival check in to a hotel. Evening visit Raja’s Seat.

After breakfast Proceed to Coorg sightseeing, Coorg is base for adventure oriented getaways for rafting, fishing and trekking. South Coorg lies closer to Nagarhole national park buffer area and 50 kms from Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary.
